About me
Hello, I’m Megan. I’m a British therapist based in Amsterdam, working with adults in English and French.
I moved to France from England as a small child, and have since lived in Sweden and the Netherlands over the course of the past decade as an adult. Living across different countries has shaped how I understand people, identity, and the quiet ways culture can influence how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. This perspective gently informs my work in therapy as I understand the need to know and connect with oneself.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Counselling (First Class Honours) from the United Kingdom and am enrolled in a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. Alongside my academic training, I’ve continued to deepen my understanding of mind–body connection through Exposure-Based Therapy for OCD and Anxiety Disorders and trauma-informed somatic training, which supports a thoughtful, body-aware approach to emotional wellbeing. I believe that healing stems from both talking therapy and reconnecting with the body, one cannot exist without the other.
I see clients in person in a beautiful, peaceful location in central Amsterdam and online. If you’re curious about working together, you’re very welcome to get in touch to see whether it feels like a good fit.
What to expect
-
My work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindful CBT, alongside attachment-informed perspectives. This means we look closely at patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, noticing how they show up in daily life and relationships.
Often, unhelpful patterns are influenced by early experiences or long-held beliefs. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and care, considering how they might be reframed or adjusted to support healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
I also integrate attention to how experiences are held in the body, helping clients connect mind and body in a gentle, grounded way. Sessions are collaborative and paced to what feels manageable, creating a space where reflection, insight, and practical change can happen safely.
I aim to provide a supportive, inclusive space for people of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations, where therapy feels steady, respectful, and attuned to your needs.
