Burnout Recovery for Women
An 8-week structured therapy programme
Does this sound like you?
You've been through burnout, but you don't feel like you've fully recovered.
You may have regained some energy, but you don't feel like yourself anymore.
So much of your life has become about work, achievement, responsibility or looking after other people that you've lost touch with what you actually enjoy.
You're questioning who you are when you're not being productive, successful or needed.
You feel guilty when you're resting or doing something “just for fun”, and find it difficult to switch off without feeling that you should be doing something more useful.
You know you can't keep living the way you were, but you're not sure how to build a life that feels lighter, more enjoyable and more like your own.
Burnout can affect far more than your energy. When your sense of identity has become closely tied to achievement, responsibility or being the person who can cope with everything, burnout can leave you questioning your self-worth, your abilities and even what you want from your life.
Recovery isn't simply about getting your energy back. It's about rebuilding a relationship with yourself and your life that isn't organised entirely around performance or managing to show up.
What we'll work on
-
We'll look at what led to your burnout and the psychological patterns that kept you functioning beyond your capacity. This may include perfectionism, over-responsibility, difficulty asking for help, chronic self-pressure or feeling that you always need to be doing more.
-
Burnout can force you to confront a difficult question: Who am I if I can't keep performing at the level I used to? We'll explore how much of your identity and self-worth has become tied to productivity, achievement, work or being needed by others, and begin developing a stronger sense of yourself beyond these roles.
-
When life has become centred around achievement and responsibility, activities that have no obvious purpose can start to disappear. We'll explore what you enjoy, what makes you curious and what allows you to feel present rather than productive. Reconnecting with play, creativity and pleasure can be an important part of rebuilding a life that feels worth inhabiting, rather than simply managing.
-
After burnout, it can be difficult to trust yourself. You may either push yourself to get back to your old level or become afraid of doing too much. We'll work towards understanding your limits and rebuilding your confidence in your ability to manage your energy without repeatedly exceeding it.
-
Burnout often happens within a wider pattern of taking responsibility for other people, saying yes when you mean no, or feeling that you need to be available and dependable. We'll work on recognising where this is happening and developing boundaries that protect your wellbeing.
-
We'll examine the standards you hold yourself to and the beliefs that make slowing down, making mistakes or doing less feel uncomfortable. The aim is not to stop caring or lower your standards, but to develop a healthier relationship with achievement and expectations.

Burnout can leave you disconnected from parts of yourself that used to feel natural - your energy, confidence, curiosity, relationships, enjoyment and ability to be spontaneous.
Recovery isn't about becoming the person you were before burnout or learning to push yourself more efficiently. It's about understanding what happened, rebuilding your capacity and creating a life where achievement isn't the only measure of your worth.
There should be room for ambition, but also for rest. For responsibility, but also for pleasure. For getting things done, but also for doing things simply because you want to.
This eight-week programme is for you if you feel ready to recover from burnout and build a way of living that feels more sustainable, connected and genuinely their own.
