For women going through major life transitions
An 8-week structured therapy programme
Does this sound like you?
Something significant has changed in your life, and you're finding it harder to cope than you expected.
You're experiencing grief, anxiety or a sense of loss, and you're struggling with the uncertainty of what comes next.
You may be going through a divorce or relationship ending, relocating, changing career, becoming a mother, facing an empty nest, or questioning your sense of identity.
You're functioning day-to-day, but internally you feel overwhelmed, unsettled or unsure how to find your footing again.
What we'll work on
-
Understanding what happens to you emotionally when things feel uncertain or out of control. We'll work on ways of managing anxiety, overwhelm and difficult emotions without avoiding them, suppressing them or becoming consumed by them.
-
We'll make space for what you have had to leave behind - a relationship, home, role, routine, identity or expectation - and work through the emotional impact rather than expecting yourself to simply “move on.”
-
Major transitions can change how you see yourself. We'll explore who you have been, what has changed, and what parts of your identity still feel important to you. This can be particularly important when your sense of self has been closely connected to a relationship, career, family role or place.
-
When life feels unpredictable, it is easy to respond by trying to think your way to certainty. We'll look at patterns of rumination, reassurance-seeking, catastrophising or repeatedly questioning your decisions, and develop different ways of responding to uncertainty.
-
Transitions often change our relationships with other people too. We'll look at where you may be over-adapting, putting your own needs aside, struggling to ask for support or finding it difficult to set boundaries during a period when you already feel vulnerable.
-
The aim isn't to make everything feel certain. It's to help you develop a stronger sense of stability within yourself, so that you can cope with what is happening without feeling that you need to have everything figured out first.
Why choose this programme?
A major life change can affect far more than your circumstances. A breakup, becoming a mother, the death of a loved one, or another significant transition can disrupt your sense of identity, relationships, routines and emotional stability.
You know within yourself that things have changed, but not know how to feel like yourself again, of if that “version” of yourself still exists even.
This structured therapy programme gives us eight weeks to work together through what has happened, its impact on your sense of self and safety, understand what might be increasing your suffering, and develop practical ways of responding differently — so that you can move forward without simply pushing difficult emotions aside, all while feeling strongly supported.
